People! This photo montage is going to make you smile, cry and smile some more. I am super serious. If you don’t know the back story, read about it here. This is a hen’s FIRST FORAY OUTSIDE. She has NEVER touched the earth or felt the sun or done anything remotely chicken-like, because she has been in a cage producing egg after egg. Now she is a serious outdoorsy lady. I wanted to put cutesy captions, but really, the images speak for themselves.
It’s kinda sad to buy a pillow just because it looks like your favorite mare! In my case… This looks like my baby Gin..
Love this bracelet! Awesome gift xoxo
I’ve spent days baking, cooking & decorating… I bought a heap of these glass Xmas trees and filled them with truffles to give as gifts…. Because I was too lazy to go random gift shopping… But they look great!

Painting is one among many activities that fall under Animal Enrichment—a program that provides physically and mentally stimulating activities and environments for the Zoo’s residents.
Art produced by many of the Zoo’s mammal and bird residents will be available for purchase at the National Capital chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) Art Show, which will take place spring 2012.

A friend of mine from Charleston gave me this recipe last year…she made it for a horse rescue fund raiser pot luck and it was a hit…its awesome but you will need to diet for a few days after it!
1 (5 oz.) pkg. of your favorite Yellow Rice, cooked as directed
I stick of butter, melted (and please use REAL butter!)

2 Tbsp. bourbon
1 tub (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
1/2 cup sugar
12 NILLA Wafers, crushed (about 1/3 cup)

Blend all ingredients except cookie crumbs in blender until smooth.
Pour into 1-oz. plastic cups; top with wafer crumbs.
